Designed for smaller gatherings that deserve something more memorable than a traditional event space, a private Sentinel experience gives your group exclusive use of the Lounge, dedicated staff, handcrafted cocktails, whiskey, food, and the unmistakable atmosphere of The Sentinel.
No banquet hall. No folding chairs.

Your $2,500 Minimum Commitment
This reserves The Sentinel Room exclusively for your group and includes standard staffing, setup and cleanup for your event.
Your group has a $1,750 minimum purchase of food and beverages during the event.
Choose from handcrafted cocktails, whiskey, wine, beer and food from The Sentinel.
Spend beyond the minimum? No problem. Additional food and beverages are simply added to your final bill.
Applicable taxes and gratuity/service charges are additional and do not count toward the food and beverage minimum.

The Sentinel Room wasn't designed to be a rental hall.
And we'd prefer to keep it that way.

A private event at The Sentinel doesn't mean settling for a limited banquet-bar setup.
Your guests have access to the same attention to detail we're known for during regular service.

Our team can also help you narrow the selections for your event if you'd prefer a more curated menu.
Food at The Sentinel
Food and beverage purchases apply toward your $1,750 minimum.
Depending on your gathering, our team can help you build a food selection designed for sharing and socializing throughout the event.
Everything is handled by The Sentinel, so you can spend less time coordinating vendors and more time enjoying your guests.
Need More Time?
Two hours goes surprisingly fast when nobody wants to leave.
$300 additional private event fee + $875 additional food and beverage minimum.
Additional hours are subject to availability and should be arranged in advance.
A Few House Rules
We like parties.
We just don't want to become a party rental hall.
To preserve the character of The Sentinel and make events easier on both hosts and our team:
No outside food, beverages or decorations are permitted.
Standard setup and cleanup are included, and the existing furniture, décor and atmosphere of The Sentinel remain part of the experience.
When Can I Reserve The Sentinel?
Private Lounge events are offered during select closed and off-peak hours.
The Sentinel Room is not available for private buyouts during regular peak service periods.
This allows us to host private gatherings without disrupting the experience our regular guests expect—and gives your group the room properly to yourselves when you reserve it.

For groups of up to 12, consider our Sentinel Reserve Private Blind Whiskey Tasting.
Four whiskies. No labels. No price tags. No reputation influencing the verdict.
The private two-hour experience includes four blind 1 oz whiskey pours per guest, two large charcuterie boards, a dedicated Whiskey Consultant, guided tasting and the eventual bottle reveal.
