Tasting Data: We store which bottles you've explored, your star ratings, and any personal tasting notes you choose to write. This data is tied to your account so you can access it across visits.

Usage Data: We collect anonymous interaction data to improve your experience, including which pages you view, which bottles you explore, search queries, and filter selections. This data helps us understand what our guests enjoy and improve our offerings. We do not use third-party analytics services — all usage data is stored securely in our own systems.

Device Information: We collect basic device type (mobile or desktop) to optimize the app experience. We do not collect device IDs, advertising identifiers, or precise location data.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Personalization: To remember your tasting history, show personalized recommendations, and save your preferences across visits.
• Communication: If you opt in to text or email updates, we may send you information about new arrivals, events, and exclusive offers. You can update your communication preferences at any time through your profile.
• Product Improvement: To understand which products our guests enjoy, identify trending bottles, and curate better selections.
• Back-in-Stock Alerts: If you've shown interest in a particular bottle, we may notify you when it becomes available.
• Membership Services: To manage Collective 33 membership benefits and Marinello Retail Rewards.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share information with:

• Service Providers: We use Twilio for SMS messaging and Supabase for secure data storage. These providers only process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our guests and business.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls. Account data is protected by unique tokens — we do not use passwords. Our database enforces row-level security, meaning each user can only access their own data.

5. SMS Communications

If you opt in to receive text messages from The Sentinel:

• Message frequency varies based on events and new arrivals
• Message and data rates may apply
• You can opt out at any time by updating your preferences in the app or replying STOP to any message
• Reply HELP for assistance

6. Your Rights & Choices

• Access Your Data: You can view your tasting history and profile information at any time through the app.
• Update Preferences: You can update your communication preferences through your profile.
• Delete Your Data: You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• Opt Out of Tracking: Usage data collection is anonymous and used solely to improve your experience. If you prefer not to be tracked, you may contact us to opt out.

7. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained as long as your account is active
• Tasting history: Retained as long as your account is active
• Usage analytics: Raw event data is retained for 90 days, then aggregated into anonymous statistics
• Tasting notes: Retained as long as your account is active; deleted upon account deletion

8. Children's Privacy

The Sentinel is a 21+ establishment. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 21. If we become aware that we have collected data from someone under 21, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
