Woodford Retires 'Kentucky Boy' Bourbon for Chris Morris' 50 Years

Week of September 7, 2026

Brown-Forman is marking Chris Morris' half-century of service with a one-time whisky called 'Kentucky Boy,' built by Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall and Old Forester Assistant Master Distiller Caleb Trigo.

The 100 proof expression debuts September 10 at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, with limited quantities reaching the Old Forester Distillery and select Kentucky retailers the following day.

A tribute release built by two distillers honoring a third is a fitting send-off, but 'rare' and 'one-time' mean this one won't stick around long enough for second opinions.
