Starlight Bottled in Bond Rye Blends Two Mashbills

Starlight Distillery has released its new Bottled in Bond Rye, marking distiller Dana Huber's second major blending effort.

The four-year straight rye combines two distinct mashbills: one with 90% rye and 10% malted barley, the other with 80% rye and 20% malted barley. The expression meets bottled-in-bond requirements at 100 proof.

Blending different rye recipes shows ambition, though the proof of concept lies in the glass.
